Ciao a tutti!
Il 4 Agosto è stato il nostro ultimo giorno a Bruxelles e quindi abbiamo cercato di visitare tutto ciò che non eravamo riuscite a visitare nei giorni precedenti. Ci siamo svegliate abbastanza presto e abbiamo iniziato la nostra visita in una piazza del mercato d’antiquariato (Place jeu de balle). Su questa piazza si affaccia l’Église Notre-Dame Immaculé che abbiamo deciso di visitare. Poi mentre ci spostavamo verso il centro abbiamo visto Notre-Dame de la Chapelle. Dopo ci siamo recate a visitare il Palais Royale. L’edificio è davvero imponente e regale e l’ingresso è gratuito! Appena si entra ci si trova davanti ad un’imponente scalinata bianca con alcune statue. La stanza più particolare è quella che ha il soffitto verde composto da miliardi di scarabei! Inoltre all’interno del Palazzo c’era una mostra dedicata al re attuale ed una sala dedicata a degli esperimenti. Dopo passeggiando per la città abbiamo ancora visto il Colon des congres e l’Église Sainte Marie. Poi ci siamo spostate in una zona un po’ fuori per andare a vedere l’Atomium e la Mini-Europe. Noi abbiamo preso il biglietto combinato e abbiamo pagato 21,60€ a testa. L’Atomium è stato costruito per l’EXPO 1958 e rappresenta un cristallo elementare di ferro (composto da 9 atomi) ingrandito 165 miliardi di volte. Si possono visitare 5 delle 9 palle che costituiscono questa struttura e all’epoca l’ascensore centrale era il più veloce d’Europa. L’ascensore ti porta subito alla palla più alta (92m) e da qui si ha una vista di tutta la città. Attraverso alcune scala mobili ci si può spostare da una palla all’altra e in alcune sala viene anche spiegato come è stato costruito questo edificio e come è divento l’icona di Bruxelles. Per fare questa visita vi consiglio di scaricare la guida gratuita sull’app cloud guide (potete selezionare la lingua italiana). Noi per visitare bene tutto ci abbiamo messo 2 ore. Dopo siamo andate a vedere la Mini-Europe che è una cosa davvero strana. In pratica sono rappresentati in miniatura alcuni degli edifici più importanti dei diversi stati europei. All’ingresso vi viene dato un piccolo volume con la spiegazione di tutti gli edifici presenti e qualche nozione riguardo all’Unione Europea. Purtroppo non siamo riuscite a fare l’ultima parte chiamata “Spirit of Europe”, perché non c’era il personale e i computer erano già tutti spenti.

The 4th of August was our last day in Brussels, so we decided to visit all the things we didn’t manage to visit before. We woke up quite early and we start our visit in the square of the antiques market (Place jeu de balle). On this square you can also visit the Église Notre-Dame Immaculé, which is really nice. While we were going to the city center we also visited Notre-Dame de la Chapelle. After we went to the Palais Royale. This building is very huge and royale and the ticket for entrance is free. When you enter you see a big white staircase with some statues. The most particular room is the one with the green ceiling covered by a millions of beetles! Moreover there was an exhibition about the contemporary king and a room dedicated to experiments. After we walked through the city and we also visited the Colon des congres and the Église Sainte Marie. Then we moved to another part of the city to visit the Atomium and the Mini-Europe. We took the combine ticket and we spend 21,60€ each. The Atomium was build for the EXPO 1958 and it’s an iron crystal (which has 9 atoms) magnified 165 billion times. You can visit 5 of the 9 balls which compose this structure and at that time the central lift was the fastest in Europe. The lift take you to the top of the building (92m) from where you can have a complete and spectacular view of the city. Through some escalators you can reach the others balls and in some rooms it’s explain how they build the building and how it become a symbol of Brussels. To have a nice visit I suggest you to download the app called cloud guide. It took us 2 hours to visit it all, but I really recommend it. After we visited the Mini-Europe, which is a very strange thing. Here you can found some of the most popular building of Europe in the little version. When you enter you receive a little book where you can read about the different building and some information about the European Union. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to see the last part which is called “Spirit of Europe”, because there wasn’t nobody and the computer were all switched off.
